Aloha and Welcome

E komo mai, I want to first thank you for visiting my website. My name is Michael Simpson and I am the owner and artist at Sylentstudios, LLC. I began casually using the name of Sylentstudios in the mid 1990's to promote all of my artwork and design.

Originally launched as an impersonal graphic design and illustration agency, which clients could interact with at their leisure, at the beginning of 2014 I decided to re-launch the Sylentstudios brand and website to have a more personal feeling to it. Now, back again to its roots, Sylentstudios is simply the name under which I conduct the business of all of my artwork.

Highest Quality
Materials

I search high and low in order to find the best materials available to make sure all of my artwork will stand the test of time:

  • Archival Sunset Reserve Canvas which exceeds the standards set forth by the Fine Art Trade guild for pH and lightfastness and is made without the use of optical brightening agents which may cause fading over time.
  • Pigmented Vivera ink which is resistant to color fading in excess of 200 years.
  • Premier Art Eco Print Shield giclee coating for UV filtering and abrasion resistance.

With proper care each piece will last for generations, hundreds of years, without the need for restoration or repair.

“Aloha ‘Āina, it means, 'love of the land.' It sometimes has some politics behind it these days but I tend to not focus on politics in general. I use it in its true sense, a deep love, respect, understanding, and connection with the land we live on. I live my life with Aloha ‘Āina and I do my best to bring it out in my artwork.” - Michael Simpson
